Real-time warnings for slippery road conditions

Maybe you look out through the window, listen to the weather report or search for information on the internet, and you think you have enough knowledge about the winter road condition. But, if you think again you have not received any information about where it actually is slippery right now.

The SRIS project aims to develop a system to evaluate winter road conditions in real-time. The information is based on ABS- and ESP information from individual cars and Road Weather Information Stations.

SRIS is a project which aims to save lives. It was started up in the beginning of 2006 and will continue until the end of 2008. SRIS is a collaborative effort by nine different companies.
